First up were the Titans south team, runners up in the league last year, after a shaky start by the Tornados they were down 6-18 at the half but the second half the Tornados found their feet. Forcing mistakes by the Titans the Tornados were able to capitalise and the game went down to the wire ending 25-25.
The second game for the Tornados were last years division winners Chester Romans. Tornados were out for revenge and they certainly got it with a 30-0 shut out, with some exceptional running from the RB and excellent defensive pressure from the nose tackle.
The third and final game of the day was against the renamed Manchester Titans North. The lads in the north were certainly big and it took a while for the Tornados to get to grips with how to tackle. At the half there was only a lead of one touchdown which was borne out right through the game as it ended 27-20.
